Licensed Therapist

Job Overview:
Responsible for providing therapy services to patients and their families as a part of the multidisciplinary team with most emphasis on group therapy completing Psychosocial Assessments, facilitating family therapy and individual therapy as ordered, developing, implementing and reviewing treatment plans and case management discharge planning.
Duties:
Discuss with individual patients their responses to events and interactions between individual appointments/ groups.
Completes psychosocial assessments or update within 3 treatment days of admission.
Develops Treatment plans within three (3) treatment days of admission and participates as a team member in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning Conference.
Implements and reviews Treatment Plans with patients.
Provides treatment coordination with assigned patients.
Documents Case conference/team meetings for problematic cases.
Documents patients' group participation, individual and/or family therapy on day of.
Evaluates data from all sources and recommends referrals as needed.
Assesses patients and families for possibility of family therapy.
Provides or refers out family therapy as deemed necessary by self and other team members.
Completes patient charge sheets or billing daily.
Participates in, in-service training and team meetings.
Complies with and implements corporate, hospital and department policies and procedures.
Develops and maintains working relationships between Behavioral Health Program and other hospital departments and outside community agencies.
Effectively utilizes knowledge of age appropriate developmental needs and abilities in the assessment, treatment and education of patients and families.
Requirements:
Minimum Education Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field Minimum Work Experience Minimum of two years relevant experience. Required Licenses/Certifications State License as professional Social Worker/Counselor Valid State Drivers License
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Ability to effectively assess, plan and implement therapeutic services in a multidisciplinary setting. Particular skills in therapy and assessment, knowledgeable about needs of geriatric and adult populations; trained in a variety of treatment philosophies to respond to varying patient responses to treatment.
